The Color Factory

I had one more fun birthday outing, this time later in the month, with my friend Andrea. I guess when you turn 40, you choose to go places that make you feel like a kid again-- ha! Andrea and I visited a cool place I had heard about called the Color Factory.

Each room was very uniquely artistic and contained either a small treat, a fun photo opp, or a hands-on activity. We took our time exploring each room and had a wonderful time!

We got a good laugh out of these boomerang pictures!

This display only lit up if you completed the circuit by joining hands.

Once we put on these pink glasses, we could see many hidden messages on the walls. Each message demonstrated a way one could see the world through "rose-colored glasses."

We realized we aren't kids anymore-- it was HARD to walk around in this ball pit! At least it made for some fun photos!

What an interesting museum!

In the museum's gift shop, we received a flier that told us about a "color scavenger hunt" that we could take throughout downtown Houston. It sounded fun, but since we were short on time, we only hunted down a couple of the locations. One was this old fashioned phone booth which we found several blocks from the Color Factory.

Another unique, memorable birthday experience!
