July 4th

We spent the Fourth of July this summer at Grammy and Papa's house. Matt and Kim had purchased fireworks for the kids to enjoy. The kids started by throwing snappers/poppers on the ground.

Then, everyone found a seat for the show. Isn't this cousin line-up cute?

The older kids even had a chance to light some of the fireworks. Ian and Cody were the ones most excited about this part.

The display was a great one!

We ended with some individual sparklers...

...and a larger Roman candle.

At the end of the evening, the kids put together glow stick necklaces and glasses in preparation for the neighborhood light show.

We walked down to a park near Grammy and Papa's home to watch more fireworks. I felt like the show was quite impressive for just a neighborhood show. It was great weather and a perfect way to end the evening.

We thank God for the freedoms we enjoy living in our great country!
