Candytopia

For my birthday in July, I wanted to go somewhere unique with the family, so we visited Candytopia, a Willy Wonka sort of museum.

Our tour began with a worker introducing us to Candytopia, inviting us to help ourselves to candy samples but to refrain from licking any of the candy displays. Hmmm...

After the introduction, we were free to explore each room at our own pace. It was so impressive seeing all the displays that were created out of candy! Next to each candy-crafted item was a sign listing how many pieces of candy were used, how many hours were put into the creation, and how many grams of sugar the display contained. Amazing!

Some rooms contained fun things for the kids to do, in addition to collecting candy samples.

Yes, this lion was fully covered in candy!

This "art exhibit" room was my favorite. The mock paintings made from candy were simply amazing!

As you can see, each room contained a different sort of theme. This underwater-themed room had some of the largest candy displays.

As soon as we walked into this room, we were shot with confetti.

The kids couldn't stop laughing when they discovered the source of the confetti!

Overflowing candy chests like this, with signs saying "Only take a few," were in many of the rooms. We all had a good stash of candy samples by the end!

The last room of Candytopia was this marshmallow pit. The marshmallows were, of course, not real but still soft and perfect for chucking at your friends and family.

Using a special QR code on my phone, we could collect various whimsical family pics throughout the museum.

Our entire visit was fairly short, but we all agreed that it was worth experiencing once. Definitely a unique adventure!
