After only being able to hold my piano recital virtually last spring, it felt so nice to have an in-person recital this year. Due to space/seating issues, I held two separate recitals for my students. Here is my group from the first recital, most of them from the school. It is the greatest side job ever to teach lessons one day a week at the school's Arts Academy. These students are a joy to work with!
Jaden and Cody performed at the second recital. Both boys selected some complicated pieces for their recital songs. I was a little nervous for them, but they practiced hard and performed well!
Cody's two songs were Night of the Tarantella and Linus and Lucy.
Jaden performed Lunar Eclipse and Cossack Ride.
I was a proud teacher-momma of these two! They have both learned a lot in their past 3 years of lessons.
We were honored to have support from both sets of Jaden and Cody's grandparents. These four are consistently some of the boys' biggest cheerleaders.
Cody's 3rd grade teacher, Miss Eickemeyer, also attended the recital. It was so sweet of her to take time out of her busy weekend to encourage these two.
Eight other kids performed at the recital along with Jaden and Cody. Five of these were students of mine (mostly neighborhood kids) and the remaining three were Aunt Sarah and Grammy's students.
What a great opportunity to showcase these kids and their God-given talents!
