JC Birthday Events

 Jaden and Cody turned 10 this summer--what a milestone! It's hard to believe that they've already been around for a full decade, yet at the same time, it's hard to imagine life without them. We thank God for these wonderful twin boys and the joy they've brought to our lives.

To celebrate their double-digit birthday, the kids and I tried out a new-to-us waterpark. The boys loved the water slides, Adley was thrilled with the kiddie play area, and I loved the small size of the park that enabled me to keep track of all 3 kids fairly easily. We were also humbled to learn that a gracious stranger ahead of us in line paid for our entire family's entry fee. Wow! The park wasn't too busy, so the boys hardly had to wait in line at all for the slides. They probably did each slide at least 20 times! We stayed for several hours and enjoyed a nice picnic lunch at the park. It was a wonderful day!

On the way home, we stopped by Crumbl and had the most delicious cookies! This was our first time trying out the popular cookie shop, and we became instant fans. Cody had a chocolate chip cookie, and the rest of us tried the s'mores flavor.

The boys ended the day by wearing their new "10 Years.... of Being Awesome" shirts, enjoying time outside, and playing in a Farm League basketball game (more on that season to come!). 

The weekend after Cody and Jaden's birthday, we hosted a family gathering to celebrate these boys as well as our nephew Noah who turned 5 in June.

This video only captures some of the boys' birthday song, but most importantly, it depicts our wonderful, supportive family group that gathered to celebrate. What a blessing it is to have all this family together for special occasions like this. :)

One of the birthday gifts Jaden and Cody received was this set of bubble foam guns. They sure enjoyed trying out the guns and getting each other messy and foamy!
