Adley and her friends had a couple of really fun playdates in March and April. In true Texas fashion, our March playgroup was rodeo themed. My friend Casey made these adorable pool noodle horses for each kid. Aren't they great?!
Each kid named his/her horse and then took off running! This blurry photo perfectly portrays how excited the kiddos were to "ride" their horses.
Casey led us to her outdoor racing course and had each child take turns running/galloping around the obstacles. She timed the kiddos as they raced and then awarded them each with a sheriff's badge.
Here are the fantastic cowgirls and lone cowboy. Aren't they so stinkin' cute?!
Next up was craft time. The kids used watercolors to decorate their boots.
We ended with Casey reading the hilarious story "Wonky Donkey." What a perfect "Go Texan" morning!
In April we went to Adley's friend Cade's house for an Easter playdate. Cade's family has an AMAZING backyard-- complete with a playset, a bounce house, and their very own hiking trails in the woods. So, needless to say, most of our playdate was simply letting the kids enjoy being outside together.
Even though the kids could've happily occupied themselves all morning, we did a few Easter-themed activities as a group. I didn't get a photo, but the kids ate cheesepuffs that were filled in triangular icing bags. They looked like oversized carrots! So fun! Then, the kids decorated these cross necklaces.
We ended by doing an Easter egg hunt with candy-filled eggs.
This was the first playdate in a while that we had our full group of kiddos. Such sweet kids! We enjoyed our morning celebrating Easter and great friendships!
