Adley's playgroup ended the school year with several creative gatherings. In March, we had an art-themed playdate. The kids thought this art spinner was amazing! It did create some beautiful pictures.
The kids also made extra-large bubbles with homemade bubble wands.
It was a fun day to be creative and a beautiful day to simply play outside. We did a lot of both!
In April, we centered our playdate on Easter. The craft was tissue paper crosses.
Our morning trail mix snack told the story of Easter:
craisins for Jesus's blood shed on the cross,
pretzel sticks for Jesus cross,
mini Ritz crackers for the stone rolled away from the tomb,
goldfish to remind us to be fishers of men,
marshmallows to show that our sins are washed away,
M&Ms so we can "taste and see that the Lord is good"!
Then, the kids hunted for hidden eggs that we had stuffed with treats and toys
We ended this playdate with some outdoor time too. Spring in Texas is SO beautiful!
My friend Amy has such an adventurous backyard. The biggest hits were the trampoline and the zip line. So fun!
What a cute bunch of kiddos!
In May, our playdate was loosely based on a camping theme. We watched a story read aloud about a camping adventure, played inside a tent, and went on a scavenger hunt for various camping items.
We also made a batch of homemade slime. Not surprisingly, these kids were all smiles.
Our playdate adventures are pretty great!
