Jason's Ordination

In October, Jason was officially ordained as the spiritual formation pastor of our church. He has been working so hard over the past 2 1/2 years, balancing course work and gradually stepping into various pastoral roles, so this weekend of celebration was a very special time. The church gifted Jason with this pastoral stole and a Salem emblem that has been given to each pastor who has served in Salem's history.

We are SO blessed to have such a supportive family! Every single member from both sides of our family worshiped with us on Jason's ordination Sunday. What an honor to have all of our loved ones there beside us!

For the actual ordination, Salem's 3 other pastors, a few area pastors, our Texas district president, both of our pastor-dads, and our immediate family joined Jason at the altar.

After Jason was officially ordained and installed as Salem's pastor, he received one of the Salem emblems and a standing ovation from the congregation.

Jason's dad and my dad each spoke words of blessing over Jason and his ministry.

Then, the rest of our family and Salem's elders joined the group at the altar to pray over Jason. What a tangible reminder of the amazing team of support Jason has. It was a touching moment!

Donning his new stole, Jason gave the benediction blessing to the congregation to close out the service.

We are so grateful to all of our family members, friends, and congregation members who have prayed for and supported Jason and our family along this journey. Jason officially completes his studies in January of 2021, so we humbly ask for your continued prayers as he finishes out his program. Your love and encouragement has made this journey so much easier. We love you all!

God has truly blessed Jason in his ministry and has given him so many gifts to serve in his role as a pastor. We are excited to see what God will continue to do in and through Jason (now known as Pastor Jason!) in the years to come.
