Grandpa and Grandma Time

Grandpa and Grandma came out to Texas for a visit surrounding Thanksgiving. They split their time between the three Texas Schleicher family households. We hosted them during the latter part of their visit and had a great time together! We had some beautiful cooler, fall-type days, so we spent some time outside at our neighborhood playground. Grandma is the one behind the camera in all of these great playtime pics.

Cody and Jaden were excited to find some eggs (probably duck eggs) underneath this slide.

Adley enjoyed this special Grandma-time reading as well. Grandma took Adley (and Mommy) clothes-shopping one day, too. This cute fleece vest outfit was one of three outfits Adley got from Grandma and Grandpa as an early Christmas present. 

It was nice that Jaden and Cody had some days off school (the whole week of Thanksgiving) during Grandma and Grandpa's visit. This allowed more time for playing games like Monopoly Jr.

Grandpa and Grandma both shared their love of music with their grandkids. Each time he visits, Grandpa likes to borrow Jason's trombone and practice a bit. He usually practices in an out-of-the-way place, like our garage, so he doesn't disturb anyone indoors. One day during Grandpa's practice, Cody asked if he could take a chair out to the garage and listen to Grandpa. :)

Adley enjoyed playing piano with Grandma a few times and listening to her play and sing.

Cody and Jaden were SO excited to have Grandpa and Grandma take them on an early Christmas shopping trip. The boys received a designated amount of money to buy ANYTHING they wanted at Target. Both boys settled on a decision fairly quickly-- a Lego Ninjago set for Jaden and two smaller building sets (one Lego and one Construx) for Cody. What a treat! Following the shopping trip, Grandma and Grandpa bought our whole family lunch from Chick-Fil-A. Yum!

We got together with both Matt and Kim and Jon and Chelsea's families on a few different occasions during Grandpa and Grandma's visit as well. One night, Grandpa and Grandma treated the whole crew to a meal out at Pei Wei. We sure made a large, noisy crew!

There was a fro yo place right next-door to the restaurant, so it made an obvious choice for dessert! Tasty! Thanks for this treat too, Grandpa and Grandma!

We loved our time with you so much, Grandma and Grandpa! Thanks for your generosity and for loving on our children. It's always a joy to have you visit!
