5 Months Old

Our baby girl turned five months old on August 2. It's hard to imagine our lives without this sweet girl! We love watching her change and learn new things as she grows. We are so thankful for the precious blessing of our daughter!

Here are some facts about Adley at 5 months:

PHYSICAL

• Found her toes! Loves lying flat on her back and grabbing onto both feet
• Very aware of her surroundings; often knocks things out of Mommy or Daddy's hands and is always reaching for items around her
• Likes tugging onto Mommy or Daddy's placemat when they're trying to eat!
• Usually rolls over to tummy after being laid on her back
• Enjoys sitting in the high chair at the start of mealtimes
• Fits best in 9-month clothes!
• Towards the end of the month, learned to sit up on her own; Mommy and Daddy still put a pillow behind her for the occasional topple

SLEEPING HABITS

• Favorite sleeping position is on her side
• Loves falling asleep with her pacifier in
• Still a very inconsistent sleeper (sometimes awakens every 1-2 hours, other nights can sleep for a 5 or 6 hour stretch)
• Still enjoys naps in the swing, although most morning naps are on the go during errands or outings with Jaden and Cody

SOCIAL

• Started babbling with different syllables (ba, ba, ba)
• Loves watching her brothers and giggles often at their antics

OTHER

• More drool this month (teeth maybe on the way?)
• Mommy started putting her hair in a fun ponytail atop her head
• Started to LOVE going into the swimming pool

  

This little girl brings so many smiles to our faces and to our heart.
