Adley is at such a fun stage! Throughout the month of June, she became much more interactive, she developed an interest in toys, and she started giving us regular smiles and giggles. We are loving watching her grow and change. She is certainly a delight to our entire family! Happy 4 months old, Adley Grace!

Some other 4-month-old facts about our darling girl...
PHYSICAL
- Grasps toys (favorites are small rattles or links) and brings them to her mouth
- Rolled over both directions this month!
- Likes to have Mommy or Daddy hold her in a standing position
- Loves to practice sitting upright; working on that core strength!
- Enjoys sitting in the Bumbo seat (although her chunky thighs are a bit tough to squeeze into this seat!)
SLEEPING HABITS
- Entered into that nasty 4-month sleep regression & rarely sleeps longer than 2 hour stretches
- Most nights spends at least half the night sleeping in Mommy or Daddy's arms
- Generally takes 3 naps a day with the afternoon nap as the longest
- Enjoys napping in the swing and can nap peacefully even with her brothers playing noisily next to her
SOCIAL
- LOVES when people give her attention and will smile happily at anyone who addresses her directly
- Babbles loudly and more intensely when tired
- Gets distracted while nursing if loud nearby noises
- Regularly laughs at her brothers with a deep giggle
OTHER
- Went on a walk in a forward-facing stroller for the first time (not a big fan yet)
- Still lots of spit-up this month
- Dislikes car rides
- Loves listening to music, often will calm her in the car
Adley is making quite a bit of progress during tummy time. She tolerates being on her tummy for much longer stretches and is likely most happy because she now knows how to roll over onto her back when she's had enough! Jaden and Cody continue to be great encouragers for their little sister during tummy time.
Both big brothers regularly ask to hold Adley (for just a minute or two at a time). They daily offer her hugs and kisses too. Jaden and Cody just LOVE making Adley laugh and particularly like to try to do so at mealtimes. Adley is so interested in watching everything her big brothers are doing. They fill her life with action, noise, and goofiness. She loves it!
Our hearts are full of thankfulness for this precious little 4-month-old!
My boys had the same problem with getting their legs stuck in the Bumbo seat. So funny! :) How in the world do you get Adley to give you such precious smiles for the camera? I'm in awe of how MANY of her great smiles you've captured just in her first few months of life!
