Before school started, Grammy and Papa planned a special day for each of our boys individually. They took Jaden and then Cody to their home one at a time and let them spend the entire morning doing any activity they wanted to do! Jaden and Cody each felt so special and were bubbling over with stories and excitement when they came home. What a creative idea! Both boys have asked multiple times since this occasion, "When can we have another Jaden/Cody day??" Thank you, Grammy and Papa, for these special days and for making our boys feel so loved!
Grammy and Papa gave us a CD of pictures from each day so that we could get a glimpse of what each boy did. Jaden and Cody were so proud to show us the pictures and talk us through their activities. Their commentary was so cute that I had to write it all down! So, here are the events of Jaden Day in his own words. :)
Grammy and Papa were wearing nametags that said, "I heart Jaden."
We were building a big house.
We were still building.
That is the big house. We didn't build a door. Look how dark it was getting.
That's a cool mower.
That guy let Papa and me sit on it.
I was exercising my feet. I had to hold on the handles and push that way and that way and that way.
I was still exercising my feet.
I was lifting those up like the people in the Olympics.
I was doing a somersault for Papa.
I am getting ready to do another one.
That's Hansel and Gretel. I just wanted to read that.
I was going to trap Grammy. Papa was getting the blocks out for me.
Now Grammy's building a house for me to live in.
That's Mouse Trap!
I am helping make a snack.
I was putting chocolate chips in there.
We made Moose Munch. It has popcorn and M&Ms with some chocolate.
I'm mixing it with Grammy.
Now I'm coloring the moose.
Look at my picture!
I was having Papa look for those blocks.
Now I'm hiding them.
Grammy and Papa hid those blocks.
I am looking for a picture of Mommy's cast.
I was riding Trigger.
I'm wearing a cowboy hat. I was saying, "Yee Haw!"
We danced the Chicken Dance.
That's when I was building that car. I built it without directions.
That was when I builded with Castle Blocks.
That's my little car. He's a policeman and I put a helmet on him.
I was eating lunch, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
We got to have ice cream at Old MacDonalds!
I did have a fun day!
