Cody Day

Cody was a great sport when his brother had his special Jaden Day. We could tell that he was SO excited about having his own day, so Grammy and Papa planned it for the day immediately following. Cody, too, was bursting with stories when he came home. Here is his own commentary about Cody Day:

That's me taking a picture with Grammy and Papa. They have nametags on.

I'm reading a book. It's Hansel and Gretel.

I'm kinda sicking my tongue out on the side.

That's Tweety, and I have that Donald one, do you see?

I'm making a snack. It was Muddy Buddies.

I had to put in chocolate chips, and we put it in the oven, and that boiled it so the chocolate chips turned into chocolate. I got to snitch, snitch, snitch the chocolate chips. See, I'm pushing the buttons.

I'm stirring the chocolate chips.

Do you see, Grammy's right there. The Rice Chex are spilled into a big bowl.

I was snitching on chocolate chips.

I was drawing the Muddy Buddies. Not the food, but the pigs on the Muddy Buddy paper.

I'm coloring with pink.

I was saying, "Do you like my picture?"

See, there's the pig.

That's all the Muddy Buddies.

This is the book where Mommy had her cast on.

I was riding Trigger. I was going super fast and almost fell off. I said, "Yippie-i-hoo!"

The hat isn't over my eyes. I'm looking down at Trigger.

I'm exercising my legs.

I'm laying down and lifting those black things up.

I'm still exercising my legs.

That's a big hill.

I was standing on top of the back.

Don't I look like I'm having a fun time?

I was lifting up some stuff.

I was somersaulting.

I am building my Legos.

Did you see my name on Papa?

I'm putting the other roof on.

I'm making the bear play. He says what the Bible says. That black book is the Bible.

I'm eating lunch.... peanut butter and jelly. It was good.

We went to Old MacDonald's. We played on the play place and I got a sundae.

  1. Oh my goodness, having a special day for each child is such a lovely idea! I love how Cody told you about how he got to snitch, snitch, snitch the chocolate chips! And how they both liked to look at the photo album where you had a cast on; I wonder why that particular picture is so memorable? So cute how they both like to do so many of the same things.

  2. I love how you had Cody dictate the captions. What a fun idea!
