Over Labor Day, our new niece was baptized into God's family. The baptism was held at a small afternoon service at Trinity. Jason and I were honored to participate in the service. He led the baptism, and I played a piano song. We praise God for the life and faith of little Selah Joy!
Jason's older sister Beth and her husband Andy came down to Texas for the occasion, so we enjoyed seeing them for the weekend as well. We found out that Andy was a talented euphonium player in high school and college, so Andy gave us some great tips about Jaden's new baritone.
Adley loved coloring with Aunt Beth.
Jason took advantage of all the family being together and planned his Fantasy Football draft for the same weekend. These guys (plus Abby and Adley) sure love their fantasy teams.
Of course, the snacks are a big hit too! ;)
Ryan was the defending champion from last year, so he received a small trophy and gave a short acceptance speech. He took this honor seriously and even had his speech written out!
The draft was quite a long, involved process which the guys all took fairly seriously. Check out their focus!
Adley's favorite part was when she had a turn to add on a chosen player's sticker to the draft board. She elected to be on a team with Daddy in the league this year.
Another day, the Schleicher family, plus a few of Chelsea's relatives, spent some time at Main Event. This was a new location in our area, so we enjoyed trying it out. It was VERY busy on the day we went, but that didn't sway the kids.
Fun weekend with family!
