Last September brought the day Adley had been awaiting for many months... her first day of school! Adley had been eagerly asking for weeks, "When do I get to start preK?" She was sooo excited to attend school, just like her big brothers! Unfortunately, my positive Covid test in August affected Adley's start date... because she was close contact with me, Adley had to quarantine for 10 days. The poor girl had to miss her classroom orientation day and the first day of school. Thankfully, she handled the disappointment well, and we arranged for Adley's teachers to FaceTime her in lieu of the orientation. Adley enjoyed seeing her teachers' faces for the first time and getting a virtual tour of the classroom.
When Adley's first day finally arrived, she was just thrilled! It was hard to believe our little girl was big enough to go off to school. The program she attends this year is the Tues/Thurs butterfly class.
Adley settled in so well to the routine of school. She was eager to be in the same preK class as two of her dear playgroup friends, Selah and JoJo. After the first couple weeks, Adley started mentioning more and more names of her preK friends. We had no doubt that this little social butterfly would make friends easily! She talks most often about center time, small group, music class, and recess activities.

We're happy that our girlie loves school and pray that her enthusiasm for learning continues. We're so proud of our preK sweetie!
