Here are a few miscellaneous family pics from July:

Mommy's Birthday

I celebrated my 37th birthday at the beginning of the month. Daddy and the kids treated me to a very tasty cookie cake and a wonderfully energetic happy birthday song. :)

Flat Cody

Jaden and Cody typically weren't interested in any of the craft-related ideas that I suggested for them to do this summer. The idea of making a flat person, however, was a hit with Cody one summer morning. He spent a LONG time trying to get his outfit just right. We attached a yardstick to the back of "Paper Cody" so that he was an easier guy to play with.

Dress-up Days

LOTS of dress-up took place in our household this summer. Adley got so excited whenever the boys brought out their dress-up bin and eagerly picked out her own outfits too. Our house was well protected this summer with all of our superheros and ninjas!

Fun in the Sun

We tried out a new local park one day this summer. It was designed to be a ninja warrior-type playground, so it was definitely unique from any park we've ever visited. The boys burned off a lot of energy running around and climbing various ropes courses. The boys' favorite part was the LONG zip line.

This spinning chair was a HUGE hit too!

Because it was a hot and muggy day, our next stop was to visit a nearby splashpad to cool off. It was a perfect way to end the morning! 

Daddy's Birthday

We were actually out of town for Daddy's end-of-the-month birthday, so we celebrated it once we got home. Daddy didn't mind a belated birthday celebration, though, especially when it included time with his family AND a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup pie. We are so thankful for Daddy in our lives!
