Christmas Program

In mid-December, Cody and Jaden had their school Christmas program. The Early Childhood was combined with grades K-2, so Jaden and Cody's portion of the program wasn't too huge. The pre-K classes sang just two songs. It was nice that the entire program was short, though-- just 30 minutes! Cody and Jaden looked pretty handsome in their Christmas vests. These two shots were the best I could get of them prior to the program. We have the distracted-by-everything-else-around-me picture and the "Mommy-do-we-have-to-take-another-one" picture. :)

Jaden and Cody love their music teacher, Mrs. Fisher. She teaches a once-a-week music class during the year and led the pre-K classes in both of their songs that night. Cody (in red) and Jaden (in blue) are in the middle row, just to the right of Mrs. Fisher's head.

Both boys watched their teacher closely and participated in all of the actions. Their first song was called "O What a Special Night" in which the kids acted out a sheep, cow, and then a donkey as they rejoiced in Jesus' birthday.

The second song was called "It's About the Cross" and talked about how Christmas is not about the presents or the tree but about Jesus' cross. I could make out most of the words to their songs but wished that the words had been projected on the screens so I could catch all of the lyrics.

Here is a brief portion of each of their songs.

Jason and I were proud parents of our little preschool performers! :)
