Back at Home...

While Jason and I were gone on our babymoon, Jaden and Cody hardly seemed to miss us. Matt and Kim faithfully took photos of their activities with all five boys so that we could get a glimpse of what their time was like. They obviously had a wonderful time! Jaden and Cody narrated the details for us of their adventures. The rest of the blog post is shared in their words:

(Cody) We were making a tunnel so Jaden could slide. Look, he's sliding under us.

We are still doing that.

We were riding our bikes in the cul-de-sac, I think. Yeah, it was the cul-de-sac.

They were putting on our straws on the spokes.

We were going on a ride to the donut shop. They have a donut shop in their neighborhood.

Aunt Kim telled us which person's turn it was to be first. We were in a line.

That was when we were eating donuts. (Cody) I got one with white frosting. (Jaden) I got a pink one with sprinkles on it.

We were playing Follow the Leader. (Cody) I was leading. That was me. (Jaden) Or was it me? (Cody, emphatically) It was me!

(Note from Mommy: The twin pictured in the front of the line is, in fact, Jaden. I find it quite hilarious that Cody and Jaden struggle to identify themselves in photos!)

We were jumping on Uncle Matt and Kim's neighbor's trampoline. We were playing Crack the Egg. We were trying to crack Ian. When he opened up, that's when he cracked.

We were looking at the neighbors' chickens. They had lots of chickens. I think it was 88, actually 28 maybe.

We were playing in Grammy and Papa's sandbox. I was trying to make a sand castle.

We were reading a book at Grammy and Papa's.

That was when we were watching Secret Life of Pets. It was a good movie.

We were taking a picture when we were eating dinner.

We were coloring at Ian and Ryan's. We liked coloring big pictures.

(Jaden) That was when I was coloring my pirate ship. (Cody) I was coloring a pirate.

We were painting. (Cody) I wasn't because I didn't want to. That's me still coloring.

We were taking a nap and Uncle Matt and Aunt Kim came up to check on us, and we were fast asleep. Aunt Kim put a rolled up blanket in between us so we didn't bump into each other while we were asleep.

We were playing at Concordia and playing with some balls.

(Jaden) I love yellow, so I think that's me. I was trying to swat the ball. I was trying to get the ball and trap it.

(Cody) I was trying to trap the ball.

We got to ride the golf cart.

We got to ride the golf cart around, and we noticed that we were making tracks in the field.

(Cody) I got to drive the cart. Uncle Matt pushed the gas, and I steered it.

(Jaden) I just didn't want to drive it, so I got on Aunt Kim's lap and I drove a little bit.

We went to the airport between our house and Uncle Matt and Aunt Kim's house and we watched planes take off and we ate there and we colored pictures there.

Our time with Uncle Matt and Kim was good because it was good.
