A Bit of Time at Home

It was an interesting weather-shock to return home after our Texas trip. In early June, we were barely starting up our summer weather, with frequent dips into the 50s. Here are the boys AFTER our hot and muggy Houston visit, now playing outside in pants and jackets!

As you can see from their faces, Jaden and Cody are definitely getting a lot of enjoyment out of our new backyard playset.

We are happy that the boys can play very independently on the playset this summer. They quickly learned how to maneuver their way up these stairs and lately have even been attempting the climbing wall.

We got TONS of rain in May and June, and we loved the green result in our yard. (We haven't been nearly as fortunate with rainy weather in July.)

Our friends the Bolls lent us a second swing, like this one from Jon & Chelsea, so now both boys can happily swing at the same time. (It also makes us feel much safer with both boys in the swings, rather than them running in front of one another!)

Also in June, we were able to celebrate Father's Day as a family. The boys helped Daddy open his cards and presents.

We then spent the day at a park and got in just a bit of tennis and a LOT of playground time. :) We loved being able to spend the day together. These little boys are so blessed to have such a thoughtful, fun-loving, unselfish and godly daddy. Happy Father's Day, Jason!

  1. Your boys give the best, cutest smiles for the camera! I'm super impressed they can do the climbing wall on their swingset.

  2. No, the climbing wall attempts are truly only attempts. I still have to lift them from one spot to the next!
