In January, Adley's playgroup held a snowflake-themed gathering. We built huge snowforts out of plastic cups and then knocked them down with snowballs (socks).
The kids then made snowflakes out of popsicle sticks and decorated them with markers, glitter, pom poms and sequins.
In February, we hosted a Valentine's party for the group. We first played a little valentine's relay game in which the kids had to perform a certain action (spin around 5 times, hop on one leg 3 times, etc) that was written on an envelope. The kids then had to "mail" this envelope by dropping it into the decorated shoebox on the other side of the room.
Next, the kids decorated valentine bags.
Finally, they delivered valentine cards and gifts they had brought for one another.
What a cute bunch of kiddos!
