We had a wonderful Christmas holiday celebrating with the Schleicher-side relatives. Beth and Andy traveled down from MN to spend time with the ever-increasing group of Schleicher family members. We planned several in-town activities together. Most importantly, we celebrated Jesus' birthday together by worshipping at both Salem and Trinity. Here are my kiddos in their Christmas outfits, gifted to them by Grammy and Papa. They looked pretty sharp!
Our family of 5 did our gift opening on Christmas morning (perhaps for the first time ever) this year. We had purchased a slimmer tree this season so that we could fit a Christmas tree downstairs. It was nice to open gifts on our comfy new carpet right by the fireplace.
My friend Tyler sends books to Adley, Jaden, and Cody each year. They were excited about her selections and posed for this silly photo for her.
We spent many of our days with the Schleicher crew-- eating meals together, hanging out, and playing games. One night, we put the kids to bed at Jon and Chelsea's home so we could have some adult visiting time and game-time--always a highlight!!
More games... this time with the kids!
All the kiddos love time just to play together, whether that be with human cousins or dog cousins!
A few of the organized activities we did together were playing lazer tag,
playing football,
taking the school bus around town to look at Christmas lights,
renting out a full theater (the only way they're selling tickets during these covid days) to watch Elf,
and of course, opening Christmas presents!
Since the 26th was Grandpa and Grandma's 50 wedding anniversary, they celebrated with a come-and-go celebration lunch at church. Together with the other siblings, we gifted Grandpa and Grandma with a carved wood wall hanging that said, "John and Carol: Let us Ever Walk with Jesus." This hymn was sung at their wedding.
We loved our time hanging out with this wild and crazy crew!
