Our precious Adley Grace turned TWO at the beginning of March. She is such a blessing to us with her deep belly giggles, her bright mind, her fierce independence, and her sensitive heart. She has brought so much adventure to our family over the past two years. This past month, she kept our whole family on our toes, as we had to watch out for her destructive, stubborn nature. To be fully honest, this girl can be quite a stinker at times! Through it all, though, the good days and the rough ones, we love this little gift from God dearly! Happy 2nd birthday to our little sweetheart!
2 Year Old Stats:
PHYSICAL
- Became fully potty-trained, even through the night!! Woo-hoo!!
- Getting more physical with her brothers (purposely hitting them, jumping on them, even occasionally biting)
- Climbed out of her crib on two occasions this month
- Learned how to spin dice so that they stay spinning for quite some time
LANGUAGE
- Can count to 10, but often leaves out the number 2
- Gives commentary like "No my like... (snakes)" or "My like... (dogs)" while listening to books
- Getting more accurate at naming her colors
- Can identify several shapes correctly, thanks to her Hullabaloo game
- Learned to sing her ABCs!
PLAYTIME/OTHER
- Very favorite thing to do is harass her brothers (messing with their things, turning the TV in a different direction while they are watching it, climbing on them, whacking them with toys, etc. Sigh...)
- Regularly turns on the bathroom sink faucet to play in the water with measuring cups and spoons
- LOVES playing hide and seek, but if she is the hider, she'll always come running out to greet us as soon as we're done counting!
- Enjoys playing Hullabaloo (which she calls Hubbabo) and the Disney matching game (with the cards face up)
- Brings Mommy scissors (yikes!) and asks for all tags to be cut off her clothing
- Regularly complains that her dresses and several of her shirts are "too tight" simply if they are form-fitting and will refuse to wear them
- Loves putting together our alphabet train puzzle and then when done, will run along its path while singing her ABCs
- Favorite songs include Five Little Monkeys and The Alphabet Song by Go Fish
