Corn Maze

For the past few years in the fall, our church has organized a corn maze for our community. Since our church is set right next to some farmland, the corn maze is literally right across the parking lot from our church campus. Our family visited the corn maze on the closing weekend, right after Halloween.

Unfortunately, due to lots of rain this year and some issues with the corn crop, the maze experience wasn't nearly as good as last year. Much of the corn was drooping into the pathways, making it hard to determine where the path even was! The event planners had to take out all of the scavenger hunt posts that had been positioned all over the maze. This aspect of the maze (finding all the posts and deciphering the secret message) had been Mommy's favorite part from last year, so I was a little disappointed. Cody and Jaden, however, weren't deterred in the slightest. They absolutely loved trekking through the muddy, corn-filled field, as they attempted to lead our family out of the maze.

Adley wasn't quite as thrilled as her brothers, but she nestled comfortably in Daddy's arms during the journey, so all was well. :)

This mid-point bridge gave us a great overview of the maze and helped us determine if our routes were on the right track.

Thankfully, we all made it out safe and sound and celebrated with immense joy!

The corn maze wasn't too busy on the closing weekend, so after dominating the maze, we freely wandered around the activity area and enjoyed testing out all the games.

Adley thought this cornhole board made a perfect slide!

Jaden attempted to launch a few balls in this oversize launcher.

Adley marveled at the scarecrows.

And all of us tested out the muddy hamster wheels!

Despite the few setbacks of the corn maze this year, our family still enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and the chance to spend time together outdoors!
