A Schleicher Family Thanksgiving: Part II

The second part of our family vacation involved some playtime, both for the kiddos AND the adults! The day after Thanksgiving, we bundled up and walked to...

...a nearby playground. It was no surprise that Cody and Jaden right away discovered the slide. Grandpa supervised, but the boys were able to be fully independent up this set of stairs and down the slide.

"Whee!"

Ian was the only one to make use of the playground's horses.

Cody preferred to explore the tunnels.

Unfortunately, the playground wasn't set up with three baby swings, but we made it work!

Grandpa did double duty by walking Ace and playing football with Jaden.

Ian built a winding pathway for Aunt Amy to walk along...

...but then he tricked her and started burying her feet! Even with the low temperatures, it was a beautiful, sunny day to be outside.

Later that same day, we had a very special girls' outing-- spa pedicures!! What a treat! With most people either Black Friday shopping or enjoying the Husker game, we had this salon nearly all to ourselves.

Mom S. was nearby getting her personal manicure.

We were all quite impressed with this salon that was recommended to Chelsea. The workers, especially the male on the end (the salon's owner), were very entertaining to visit with. They had a fun time trying to figure out our family relationships (having Kim and Amy as both sisters and sisters-in-law is always a bit confusing to explain...).

We were especially amazed by this stylist who was still doing nails while very pregnant. She was due to have her baby within just about a month. We told her that we should be the ones giving HER the foot massages!

Ahhh... what a relaxing afternoon!

Nail art was only $1 per toe, so all of us requested this service, too. The lady did the entire nail art design with just a regular nail polish brush. Wow!

Each of us got a different nail color and a unique nail art design (though all some sort of flower).

We were all pleased with the end result!

What a perfect girls' day out!
