Cody Day

Over the summer, Papa and Grammy scheduled individual time with each of their grandkids. What an important day for the kids! Jaden and Cody eagerly counted down to their special day for weeks and planned out exactly how they wanted to spend their time with Grammy and Papa. Here are the events of Cody Day, as told by Cody.

At the start of Cody Day, I brought Lovey Kai with me.

I was climbing over the fence to the sandbox.

We were building a castle.

I am making the walls.

Now, that's my castle. The flat part is a drawbridge too. I found a weed for the flag.

This is me doing my giraffe sand art. It was kind of hard.

I am making my snack. My favorite thing to put in was M&Ms.

I got to watch Esther with Lovey Kai. He got the red pillow because he's the red ninja.

I was bouncing like the Veggie Tales.

I was playing 20 Questions and Crackers in my Bed.

I like trapping mouses and that I won.

I was doing my back float for 100 seconds.

I buckled Lovey Kai into his carseat.

I got to stand up with no hands when the car was moving.

This is me riding Trigger.

This is me with my second sand art.

I got to watch Larry Boy and the Fib from Outer Space while eating my shake from lunch.

Grammy read me Hansel and Gretel.

I really like that it's ALL my day!

(Thanks for spending time with Cody, Grammy and Papa, and for giving him a memorable day! He loved his time with you!)

Jaden Day

Here are the events of Jaden Day, as told in Jaden's own words (with a few parenthetical notes from Mommy!):

I was starting to leave with Grammy and Papa. (Notice Grammy and Papa's "I Love Jaden" nametags. So cute!)

Ooh, I liked that game. I had to close my eyes and then look for Grammy's footprints.

I built Monsterville with Grammy and Papa, and I found the purple monster (a plastic toy sitting on top of the sand castle).

This is me riding my horsie, Brian. I came up with that name.

This is me walking on the balance beam.

I was doing the monkey bars. Papa was putting his hands up, but he didn't know how good I was with monkey bars.

Papa was trying to balance the monster on my head, but I just put it on my finger.

I am making my snack. I thought it was YUM. I really liked putting in the chocolate chips.

I am smiling like I really like it. EEEEE!

I was swimming through Grammy's legs.

I was trying to do an obstacle course with Papa. I was squirting Papa. That was funny.

I was under my water castle. I like how I could be safe and it was all mine to play with.

I was going through the sewers.

I was whooshing down the slide.

This looked like I was peeing. (ha ha!)

I was doing my sand art.

I got to watch Esther.

I got a fruit and yogurt parfait. Yummy yum yum!

I worked on a big alligator (another sand art project).

Grammy helped me put on my ninja costume.

I drank a lot of my shake while playing mousetrap. I won that game.

It was a fun day!
(Thanks so much, Grammy and Papa, for making Jaden feel so special on this day. What a wonderful memory for him!)
